Professional Certification in Human Resources Management

Human Resource Certification is a significant professional milestone. Certification signifies that you have mastered the HR body of knowledge and/or HR Competencies, and have a commitment to professional excellence and development. Currently, there are more than 135,000 HR professionals in more than 100 countries that have been certified through HRCI (Human Resources Certification Institute). SHRM began their Certification program this January 2015.

Holding an HR certification credential demonstrates relevance, competence, experience, credibility and dedication to human resources to your employers, clients, staff members and professional peers. Two of the HR Certification credentialing arms are:

Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) professional certification is offered at six levels:

Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) a new 2015 professional certification is offered at two levels:

The SHRM Body of Competency and Knowledge documents the nine behavioral and technical competencies on which the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications are based. It also serves as the basis for the certification exams, the SHRM Learning System and the three-year recertification process for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP.   HR professionals with existing HR generalist certifications in good standing will be eligible for the new SHRM certification on Jan. 5, 2015, by taking an online tutorial. HR professionals seeking a certification for the first time can apply for the SHRM Certification exam beginning Jan. 5. HR CERTIFICATION TEST PREPARATION PROGRAMS

    COURSE FEATURES

    ·         The AZSHRM SHRM Certification Prep Course is 10-weeks of highly effective preparation for the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP Certification Exams Exams (more information at www.shrmcertification.org)

     

    ·         The course  utilizes the 2015 SHRM Learning System (included with the course fee)!

     

    ·         Qualfied SHRM-SCP Certified Instructor

     

    ·         The class meets one night per week in-person (Tuesdays) with optional live virtual session attendance for some evenings.

     

    ·           The SHRM Learning System features a pre-assessment, several quizes on each module, a post-assessment, and a final exam for test taking practice and content mastery.

     

    ·         Be dual certified with New SHRM Certifications in 2015!:  You can obtain your SHRM Certification and recertify with HRCI and SHRM Certification with most of the same activities.

  • THE HRCI PREP CLASS (now in 3 locations around the Valley) given by Jack Milligan is in its nineteenth year, has over 1,100 graduates with an overall 89% pass rate and a guarantee that if you pass the class with a B, you will pass the exam. Any student earning an A in the class who fails will have their re-examination fees paid.  No one else puts this level of skin in the game.  It is for serious students, the class is difficult; it is also the most concentrated HR learning experience you will likely ever have.  11 quizzes and 7 exams in 13 evening classes, each lasting three and one-half hours, 6 to 9:30PM and consisting of 45 total classroom contact hours.  Designed to prepare qualified professionals (see: www.hrci.org) to sit for and pass the HRCI certification examination at the PHR or the SPHR level.  A letter grade (A to F) depending upon academic performance is earned.  A certificate suitable for framing is provided upon successful completion.  All books, materials and web support fees required for the class are included in the $1,700 tuition cost.  A “no fault” minimal attendance standard of 11 of the 13 classes is required.  Classes begin in September and February.  More information at www.theHRCIprepclass.com or call Jack Milligan SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP @ 602-909-0232.

    Ted Pichler, SPHR SCP, is the Director of HR for AutoZone, and is currently teaching the SHRM® CP/SCP® test prep course using the SHRM learning system for Canyon State Institute. CSI is located at 3550 Central Avenue, #800, Phoenix, AZ 85012. A new class starts every 8 weeks and classes meet Monday and Thursday evenings for 4 hours per night with a one week class break in the 4th week of training. Course training is 56 contact hours with the instructor, onsite.
