The mission is to provide forums to encourage and facilitate the sharing of information on matters relating to human resources management for the purposes of professional development and networking. 

We provide a voice to SHRMGP and to the professional practice of human resources.  A voice that speaks of the positive impact SHRMGP has on the human resources field and of the positive impact human resources professionals have on the community as a whole. We will help to enhance the perception of human resources professionals as strategic business partners for their organizations and the community.  The purpose of the SHRMGP Communication & Public Relations Committee is to publicize the activities of the Association among its members and other interested parties and groups and provide vehicles for sharing news and current activities in the Human Resources field. The committee is divided into the following two sub-committees:

 

Member Communication Sub-committee:

• liaison with other committees to ensure that all committees have the opportunity to utilize internal communications vehicles to the fullest. 

Public Relations Sub-committee:

• develop and manage a cohesive brand image that communicates the importance and excitement of SHRMGP's activities.
• use a variety of communication vehicles to present our image to the community at large.
• develop strategic marketing plans and media relations to better reach our key audiences.
